Sailor Lake Picnic Area is a popular place for forest visitors to have a picnic, use as a trailhead for accessing the Flambeau Motorized Trail, and fish in Sailor Lake. The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is looking for volunteers to help maintain this picnic area by performing general tasks such as picking up litter, painting signs and buildings, monitoring lake levels and moving the small boat dock as necessary, and if possible helping with mowing.
