Newman Lake Picnic Area is a popular place for forest visitors to have a picnic, go for a swim at the beach, or fish from the accessible fishing pier. The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is looking for volunteers to help maintain this picnic area by performing general tasks such as picking up litter, painting signs and buildings, and if possible helping with mowing.
