Awesome leaders rarely appear. They are nurtured, trained, mentored, and supported. The youth members of the Green Crew have incredible talent and are eager to learn the personal and organizational skills to be great leaders. Would you be willing to help them?

The Green Crew (GreenCrew.club) is a new youth-led environmental action team. We are a youth program of the Izaak Walton League and associated with the BSA's venturing program. We are seeking an Associate Advisor of Leadership Development. As a member of the adult advisory team, you are helping to train the next generation of environmental leaders. Feed their passion and focus their energy on meaningful projects which will make a difference.

The Associate Advisor of Leadership Development will build on the amazing leadership development program within Scouting and apply it to our unique project-based progressive environmental leadership program. Our leadership development model integrates increasing levels of responsibility, with mentoring, training, and personal development.

The Associate Advisor of Leadership Development provides mentorship and support to the youth leader of the Green Crew who has been elected by their peers as the Director of Leadership Development. As the Director of Leadership Development, the trained youth leader will lead the crew in scheduling and planning leadership training, the mentor program, and personal development.

As their trained advisor, you will support their goal setting, leadership development, and personal development. Inspire. Guide. Train. And be their biggest cheerleader. Both the Association Advisor and the Director of Leadership Development are members of the Advancement Team.
