Volunteer child advocates are individuals who, through training, become independent voices for victims of child abuse and/or neglect in court. Prospective volunteer child advocates must be at least 21 years of age and must complete 30 hours of training as well as 6 hours of courtroom observation following an in-depth interview, reference checks, and criminal background checks. No special experience is required. Both male and female volunteers are encouraged to apply.
