AWARE Food Bank is looking for bi-lingual volunteers to assist with interpretive support for projects that will improve how the food bank serves our neighbors in North Marion County.
Projects may include the following:
- Client information collection
- Document translation
- Language interpretation during food distribution
- Outreach to non-English speaking communities
Russian and Spanish language skills are our top need, but we are happy to hear from community members who speak other languages as well!
2 Shifts

09:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Distributions are held every weekday BUT Wednesday

evening /
05:00 PM to 07:00 PM
Evening distributions are held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month.

Description
Every month, more than 46,000 people - including 15,000 children - will access emergency food through the Marion Polk Food Share partner network. This food may be a hot meal served at a shelter, a free community meal served at a church, or an emergency food box from a food pantry. This nutritious food will help children and adults learn, work, and thrive.
