Volunteers United/AmeriCorps is a program of United Way that recruits volunteers for non-profit agencies in Martin County.
The mission of the organization where this opportunity is located is to provide gently used clothing, new shoes, underwear and literacy skills at no cost, to low income children in Martin County.
Volunteers would select one, or more shifts if desired, on Wednesday, Friday or the first/third Saturday of their choice.
Choose from:
Friday: 9am - 11:30am
Saturday: 10am - 12pm
Agency can be flexible if you are dependable. Bi-lingual would be fantastic but not a requirement.
Opportunity includes great customer service, unpacking clothing, assisting families selecting clothing items, helping children select books to take home, reading t to children and supervising them while they are in the library are. hanging and restocking items as needed.
Training will be provided. Physical requirements include standing and sitting.
