Become a Greenwich United Way Reading Champions Volunteer!!

For over the past 15 years, GUW has delivered the largest volunteer driven literacy support program in town.

No experience necessary. We provide full training!

Emerging Greenwich Public School R eaders in our program would benefit from your encouragement and guidance!! This can also fulfill a community service requirement.


Here are some benefits :

-Build a relationship with students who benefit from weekly, personalized sessions
-We pair each student with a trained, dedicated volunteer (your choice of day/time)
-We utilize guided repetitive reading
-Year-round program
- We provide all program materials for free
-Each student receives a weekly, 30-minute session, at the same time (btwn 9am and 7 pm, school day and after-school opportunities)

  • 09:00 AM to 07:00 PM EST
    Looking for volunteers to do school day hours and after-school hours.
