WORLDwrite is now working on our feature documentary project: "Making Common Cause: A history of solidarity in the UK".
This project is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the National Archives. Arranged by our award-winning film-making charity, based in Hackney, it involves researching, filming and bringing to light the inspiring stories of those who made the struggles of others their own over the past 160 years.
We are now taking applications for our short May package from anybody who wishes to enhance their skills and CV’s through working on a film of educational benefit.
To facilitate high levels of interest, we've organized a short camera training and shoot package commencing on May 4th with an introductory meeting over Zoom at 19:30pm, which may be of interest to you.
The session dates and a simple application form is available on the charity’s website at https://www.worldwrite.org.uk/volunteering
The package may be ideal for those interested in history, sociology, journalism, media, humanities and the creative arts. We are however open to all, no one will be turned away and no prior skills are required.
All volunteers will receive camera training from media professionals, travel expenses for location shoots and be credited for their input. Students may treat this as work experience if they wish to.

Uniquely, WORLDwrite has an open door policy, working with people from across the world and around the corner.
