The project

In Sipe Sipe, a village near Cochabamba, there’s a centre for boys that have been pulled from different, mostly (sexually) violent, environments. The centre offers children aged 5 through 18 years old with shelter, psychological support, home work support, spiritual support and various activities. As a volunteer or intern you can work as an activities counselor, think about activities like soccer (a guaranteed hit!), painting, coloring, board games, other sports and dance activities. The organisation wants to support the children and teenagers in processing their traumas and to provide a safe place for them where they can relax en learn new norms, values, visions and ideas about life.

BSA exists in the service of Casa de la Alegría: a foundation that with its love and dedication supports children and youngsters who have dealt with (family) traumas like sexual, mental and/or physical abuse or addiction. Their mission is to empower vulnerable, precious children so they can finally discover their strengths and talents. In the end both as for the coming future, these children will be able to raise their voice and to embody the new generation which can make a true difference to a local, sustainable and loving everyday life. All profits made by BSA will go directly to Casa de la Algeria.
