My Hope Chest is inviting the support of community leaders like you to join our team. Your voices,
expertise, experience and outreach will play a pivotal role in our success. With a shared vision, My
Hope Chest will continue to be the solution for women living disfigured, deformed and depressed and
help restore, transform and complete their journey to wholeness. Joining hands with My Hope Chest at
this pivotal time of growth will assist the organization’s ability to rise up to the playing field and be equal in every area of operations, fundraising, awareness and advocacy like other local and national charities.
An Executive Advisory Board Member of My Hope Chest has a primary responsibility to advance the
organization’s mission and brand, raising awareness and ideally funding to assist the organization in
sustainability and facilitating its services. Advisors will observe the strategic design of the organization
and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.
My Hope Chest is looking for individuals to serve on the Board of Directors and the Executive Advisory Board.

Mission Statement
The purpose of My Hope Chest is to help restore self-esteem, dignity and confidence to breast cancer survivors by facilitating and funding, as needed, reconstructive surgery for those who do not have adequate financial means to afford such surgery and to educate survivors on their breast reconstruction options. We also assist with co-pays for insured candidates who qualify and non-medical bills for survivors in active treatment.
Description
My Hope Chest is the only national 501c3 social service organization focused on reconstructive surgery for uninsured and under insured breast cancer survivors. We are moved to ACT and our goal is to heal and provide closure to the breast cancer journey. By enabling those who desire reconstruction to have it, My Hope Chest works to help all survivors return to a "new" normal with feelings of hope, self-worth and completeness.

REQUIREMENTS
- Board Meetings are currently the 1st Wed of the month at 6pm. We have 2- ½ day strategic meetings a year- in early June and early November on a Saturday. In 2023-24 we are meeting mostly by Zoom.
- We are looking for Board members who can raise funds and get the organization in front of donors as well as conduct fund-raisers to help those needing breast reconstruction surgery.
