ORGANIZATION: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Pacific Northwest

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has one goal: a world without blood cancers.

By joining our Leadership Team, you will be partnering with other leaders in the PNW to raise awareness and funds to benefit Light The Night. You will get to make a difference for blood cancer patients in the PNW, build community, and network with like-minded leadership team members.

The Light The Night Executive Leadership Team leads by example through their personal fundraising efforts, corporate sponsorship and corporate fundraising. Additionally, Executive Leadership Members work to secure new partners within the community as sponsors and corporate teams. Simply stated, Executive Leadership Members help LLS drive new revenue and new partnerships to help Light The Night achieve its overarching goal. We are currently looking for individuals located in the Pacific Northwest region (Washington, Alaska, Montana, Oregon based individuals).

Light The Night is a year-round movement serving as the front door to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Through inspirational local community activations, we bring people of all ages together alongside patients, caregivers, families, researchers and the medical community to end cancer. For corporate partners, Light The Night events, serve as inspiring team building campaigns that engage employees building camaraderie and loyalty. To culminate the year, everyone comes together, turns on illuminated lanterns and brings light to the darkness of cancer.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. The breakthrough treatments we helped advance for blood cancers are now improving the lives of people affected by many types of cancer.

Description

Volunteers are our partners in the crusade to end cancer.

In 2022, LLS volunteers made a significant impact while selflessly dedicating their time and talent to achieve our mission. With countless ways to engage, from fundraising to providing patient support, our volunteers are changing the landscape of cancer.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Washington/Alaska Chapter was founded in 1984 to serve residents who have been touched by one of the blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The chapter serves patients and families throughout Alaska and Washington.
