About The Salvation Army

2015 26th Ave. N., Birmingham, AL 35234, US

Mission Statement

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

For more than 150 years, The Salvation Army has sought to be a shield for those in crisis. When you partner with us to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, and provide hope to the lost, you become a shield, too. Often referred to as "the army behind The Army," volunteers play a crucial role in The Salvation Army’s ability to provide quality social services for the entire community. Thank you for exploring the many opportunities to help those in need and enhance our community as a volunteer with The Salvation Army.

Be a volunteer. Be a difference maker. Be A Shield.
