Peninsula Youth Theatre is looking for two dedicated volunteers to Assistant Stage Manage their current production of "The Descendants the Musical!"
Assistant Stage Managers trade off attending rehearsals at our studio, Wednesday through Friday from 6:30-8:30pm and Saturdays from 10am-1pm. They learn how to take blocking notes, and assist the Stage Manager with rehearsal reports.
Once the show moves to the theater (March 7-20) Assistant Stage Managers lead the rest of the backstage staff by managing one wing of the theater.

To provide outstanding theatrical learning experiences that develop leadership, emphasize responsibility and foster teamwork in a supportive, respectful environment. Our unique family atmosphere successfully uses theater performances and classes to help kids develop a strong sense of self-esteem and nurture critical social and communication skills. PYT is a children's theater for actors ages 5-20 and our classes are for ages 4 and up.
Description
PYT brings high quality children's theatrical entertainment to 30,000 audience members, parents and program participants every year, and is committed to providing an enriching theatrical experience to all members of our community. Our programs include opportunities for young people to perform on the professional stages at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, develop performing skills and confidence through our studio classes and in-school programs, and camp performance and production-making opportunities all summer long.

- Must be at least 14
- ASM's typically volunteer 10 hours per week during rehearsals, and 20-30 hours the week of production.
- A love of performing arts and commitment to being part of a fun team is a plus! ASMs also typically help with set shifts, so some physical ability to move scenery is required. Teen volunteers welcomed and encouraged!
