Recruiting Organization: Northwest Abortion Access Fund (NWAAF)
It’s time for another round of Board of Directors recruitment! NWAAF is looking for five (5) volunteers to join our board. If you are dedicated to breaking down barriers to abortion access and would like to lend your skills in this critical moment, then we humbly request that you apply - your energy and expertise would be well spent by joining the NWAAF Board of Directors.
The full description and instructions to apply can be found here. The deadline to apply is February 22, 2022.
The NWAAF Board of Directors is vital to the function of our organization. We create and manage the budget, execute all fundraisers and events (both in person and digital), manage social media, work closely with the staff and programs team to support callers in the ways they need, serve on our hotline, and fiercely advocate for abortion access in our region. All while working to make NWAAF, and the abortion landscape as a whole, more equitable. The board functions as a working board using a flat, non-hierarchical structure, and all of our work is done remotely.
We welcome applicants from Alaska, Idaho, and Oregon, to apply! (Washingtonians are currently overrepresented on the board, so we are not recruiting additional Washington members this year.) Prior board experience is not at all required.
2021 was a tough year for abortion access and we know we have huge obstacles ahead of us in 2022. That’s why we need a passionate, committed, and resilient board to continue rising to whatever challenges emerge. If that describes you, apply today!
