Notre Dame AmeriCorps (NDA) Baltimore is looking for dedicated individuals to commit 11 months of serving critical community and educational needs of the Baltimore area. Our mission is to build community among our members, as well as the people with whom we work by reaching out across culture and class to empower communities through education.

NDA places volunteers with partnering organizations around Baltimore to work in underserved communities, changing lives through education. Our partnering sites include Living Classrooms Foundation, Safe Alternative Foundation for Education, Refugee Youth Project, and more.!

As an NDA member you will:

  • Earn money to further your education or to pay back past student loans
  • Build your resume and key transferable skills
  • Make a difference in the lives of Baltimore citizens and other AmeriCorps members
  • Contribute to lasting change in the Baltimore community

NDA benefits include:

  • Living allowance
  • Health insurance coverage

  • Deferment of student loans while in service
  • A Segal AmeriCorps Education Award to pay for educational expenses at qualified institutions, for educational training, or to repay qualified student loans.

To become an NDA member you must meet all of the following qualifications:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a high school diploma, GED or commit to earning a GED while serving
  • Be able to serve full time (900 hours) over an 6 month period (40 hr/wk) starting January 2022
