The Read to Me Project Seeks Fund Development Expert to Join its Board of Directors

The Read to Me Project is seeking an individual who is passionate about the importance of early literacy with expertise in fundraising and marketing to join its Board of Directors. A volunteer position.

In addition to general expectations and responsibilities as a member of the board, this person will support and collaborate with the Director of Development and Marketing to meet the organization’s Strategic Plan goal to Increase Financial Resources. The strategy for achieving this goal includes someone with "door-opening" relationships that afford opportunities to introduce Read to Me Project to community leaders in business and local government, and with others s/he identifies as prospective funders. The board member will have enthusiasm for developing funding opportunities, for making funding requests, championing Read to Me Project’s message and value, garnering invitations to introductory meetings, and making presentations.
