We are conducting ongoing research on our PeerCommunity CoCare Program. We are establishing a research partnership with a prestigious post graduate college on the East Coast. We need someone who can help us manage the logistics of conducting the research project to establish the efficacy of the program, which addresses trauma and life stress. Our mission is to turn the tide of trauma in communities around the world. We'd like to establish a strong evidence base for our work.

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to build resilience that empowers people to thrive by resolving trauma in peer-communities globally.

Description

We provide a person-centered, accessible, non-medical, non-diagnostic, non-religious, grassroots, community program to groups of people who have lived-experiences-in-common. It is called the PeerCommunity CoCare Program and we provide it free to people who are willing to commit to helping themselves and others achieve wellbeing.

Our Mission: To build resilience that empowers people to thrive by resolving trauma in peer-communities globally.

The Core Principle on which our mission is based: We honor the innate wisdom of all human beings and their ability to explore their own challenges and experiences within the context of their own culture and worldview and come to their own conclusions about them.

Our Vision, as an outcome of our work: Engaged and productive community members who have been able to put their trauma behind them and move on. Free of the devastating impacts of past trauma, with regained resilience, power of choice, and increased control over their lives, we envision people who have benefited from our programs contributing to overall community resilience and thus increasing the community’s ability to meet their challenges and build a world that works for us all.

We recognize that the legacy of unresolved trauma, the cycle of violence, is the main factor that drives suffering at every level of human endeavor. Trauma must be addressed if we are to achieve our potential and human right to pursue a purposeful life.
