We need mentors!! Please consider being a mentor at East High School in the A+ Angels mentoring program. You would meet your student in the ASC (Academic Success Class) at East High School on Wednesdays from 8:20 to 9:45. This is a tremendously effective program with proven benefits for the students who are matched with a mentor. If you are interested please contact program director Aimee Arens.

To close the achievement gap at East High School in Denver, Colorado by pairing adult volunteers with students who struggle academically. We build long-term mentoring relationships, to help students succeed academically, expose them to colleges, career opportunities and a larger world.

Description

A+ Angels is a mentor program that seeks to close the achievement gap at East High School in Denver, Colorado. Begun in 2004 by two parents, Jessica Pearson and Caren Press, A+ Angels currently consists of more than 80 pairs of adult volunteers and students who struggle academically. Mentors build relationships with students, inspire them to work harder, help them with their school work, and expose them to colleges, career opportunities and a larger world.
