ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - National Headquarters

  • Purpose This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Biomedical Services (BIO) department. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. This leadership position supports the role and actions of the National Scheduling Team (NST) Division Lead. The Associate Lead is a Lead in Training and volunteers in this role will be promoted to NST Lead in the event of an opening on the Lead Team.
  • Responsibilities
    • Submit unscheduled volunteer hours
    • Communicate regularly through phone calls, text messages, and emails with volunteers and leadership
    • Perform data entry in Volunteer Connection
    • Manage regional shift tools
    • Provide subject matter expertise and support to Donor Ambassadors
    • Submit departmental specific forms at the end of every shift
    • Weekly leadership meetings monthly 1:1 with individual team members and as needed
    • Onboarding 1:1 with individual team members
    • Communication with field team as needed
    • Staying up to date on Biomedical National communication
  • Qualifications
    • Minimum 6 month experience in any NST position
    • Available for 20 hours per month with a flexible schedule
    • Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
  • Length of Appointment

    Minimum 12 month commitment (renewable)
