Hospice Volunteer Training: Saturday, February 12, 2022 10:00AM - 1:00PM
Held at: Elara Caring Hospice, 30400 Telegraph Rd. Ste 334., Bingham Farms, MI 48025
**For Volunteers Willing to Work in the Macomb, Oakland, or Wayne County areas!
What Does a Volunteer DO?
- Sit with patients to provide companionship (facility or private home)
- Play music (key board we provide or your own) also guitar to patients or perform for patients
- Pet Therapy - if you have a licensed pet therapy dog to visit with patients
- Do birthday card and flower deliveries to patients
- Record a patient's life story
- Administrative work in office
Hours are very flexible, weekdays, evenings or weekends. Typically, we ask that you would visit your assigned patient at least 1-2 hours per week.
