Volunteers support staff at the program sites in Bridgeville, Dormont and Bethel Park. Volunteers assist staff with a variety of clerical tasks from alphabetizing to filing. In the Medical Records office volunteers are needed to operate the Document Imaging Machine (similiar to a computer scanner) and training is provided. There is something for everyone! Volunteers provide a great deal of support to the staff who are responsible for processing information for client records.
The agency is open M-F (9-5). Volunteers generally come in 1/week for 2-4 hours, but we are flexible. It is a very friendly place with nice staff and volunteers. If you are interested I would suggest you come in for an interview and possibly visit the program site.
Interested volunteers are asked to complete the application process which includes a criminal clearance (which we pay for). Volunteers are also asked to sign a confidentiality statement.
Great opportunity for moms with school age children, or for retirees who are looking for an ongoing opportunity in a friendly environment.
