ORGANIZATION: HERS Breast Cancer Foundation

HERS Breast Cancer Foundation's Executive Director is seeking a volunteer to provide administrative support one to two days per week, either in the morning or afternoon. Tasks include data entry, preparing donation acknowledgement letters, filing etc.

Volunteer assistance is critical to helping our small team fulfill its mission: to support all individuals healing from breast cancer by providing post-surgical products and services regardless of financial status.

Proficiency in Office Suite is helpful as is being comfortable with answering phones, making copies etc. A background in grant writing (or interest in) grant research and writing are helpful. Other tasks include assisting with fundraising event preparations.

Our team is fully vaccinated/boosted and we sanitize frequently to help keep one another and our patients safe.

We are first and foremost a service for women and women’s health. Our programs enunciate and further fulfill the mission of the foundation to serve all women, including the underserved, in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our programs are a service designed to help patients overcome the devastating emotional and physical effects of breast cancer treatment. We provide a safe, compassionate environment for breast cancer survivors to be properly fitted for bras, prostheses, lymphedema garments, and wigs. The service and the products of HERS Breast Cancer Foundation are vital to breast cancer patients’ physical and emotional healing.
