Accent Care Hospice St. Louis is seeking compassionate people to join our Bereavement Volunteer Team. Our Bereavement Volunteers support the grief needs of our low risk family members and friends, by making calls and working from a prepared script to direct families to our appropriate resources. This special group of volunteers may participate in making phone calls to low risk bereaved at 6 month and 12 month timeframes. Volunteers may participate in virtual grief support groups from the comfort of the volunteer's home. All of our Bereavement Volunteers will be trained to assess the needs, responses, coping skills, and support systems of the bereaved. Volunteers will then provide documentation to our psychosocial team who can follow-up, if needed. Volunteers are not required to offer bereavement services, just to help direct family and friends to our services.
