Fall 2023 Season begins Sept 8th! Coaches needed in north Raleigh, Durham, and Cary.

The Miracle League of the Triangle provides children and adults with special needs the opportunity to play baseball. Previous baseball experience is not required but a caring, enthusiastic spirit is.

We have opportunities at three fields this season (406 Morehead Ave, Durham |805 Cary Towne Blvd, Cary | 3011 Queensland Rd. Raleigh). Below I have listed our season dates as well as some of our coach expectations.

2023 Fall Season:

APA League Sept. 13 th - Nov 1 st

Cary Youth League Sept 8 th - Oct 28 th

Tues/Thurs Adult League: Sept 8 th - Nov 2 nd

Durham/Raleigh Youth & Adult League: Sept 8 th - Oct 28 th

OVERVIEW:

  • Attend minimum of 6 of your team’s games during the season
  • Teach players how to play baseball to best of their abilities
  • Encourage buddy interaction with the players.
  • Keep games moving in a timely manner
  • All coaches arrive 30 minutes before game time.
  • Find your own Sub and notify head coach.
  • Attend a Coaches Meeting, August 22 nd or 23 rd (only attend once)
  • Pass a background test (18 yrs. or older)

Our mission is to create positive life experiences for children and adults with special needs and their families through baseball.

Description

The Miracle League of the Triangle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating during the spring and fall seasons as a baseball league for individuals with special needs. The program provides a safe, positive environment for people with disabilities to participate in a team sport, many for the first time in their lives.

Anyone who has seen a game in action knows that the Miracle League of the Triangle is much more than an ordinary baseball league. It’s an experience of sheer joy, made possible by a community of players, parents, and volunteers.
