New England Primate Conservancy seeks an experienced graphic designer to assist with the design elements of our WordPress website, as well as assist with graphic designs for our education programs. We generally use Canva for graphic design creation but will be open to apps that speak to your areas of expertise. Video creation experience would be awesome.

WordPress experience is a must. Elementor experience would be helpful.

This could become a paid position.

New England Primate Conservancy is a wildlife conservation and animal protection organization that is committed to leaving a legacy of hope and tools to build a better tomorrow for all the Earth's citizens. 70% of our primate cousins are threatened by extinction. All are threatened by human activities. If they are at risk, so too is every other species that share their environment. Saving one species saves many. Education is the heart of animal protection.

This is a remote volunteer position that can be accomplished from your home, with e-mail, phone, or Zoom correspondence with the Education Program Director and/or the Education Team.

If you are creative with well-honed graphic design and website graphic design experience, this opportunity is for you. Passion for conservation and wildlife protection is a plus!

Minimum age 25.
Hours per week are negotiable. We'll work with your schedule.
Candidate must be in the United States

About New England Primate Conservancy

Location:

PO Box 23, Merrimac, MA 01860, US

Mission Statement

New England Primate Conservancy is committed to leaving a legacy of hope and tools to create a better tomorrow for all of the Earth's citizens.

Description

Did you know that almost three-quarters of all primate species are threatened? All nonhuman primates are threatened by habitat loss caused by human activities. But there is hope. Since the problems are caused by human activity, they are preventable, repairable, and reversible. We can each take small steps in our daily lives, in our daily choices, to create change for the better.

In addition to raising awareness about our environmental impact, humane education strives to develop empathy and tolerance toward all creatures, which facilitates the leap to empathy and tolerance for differences in people. Over 30 years of studies confirm the direct correlation between abuse and neglect of animals and violence against people. By the same token, compassion for our fellow animals can be an indicator of our compassion for each other. When we protect and advocate for our fellow animals, we are part of a much larger solution. Join us. Contribute to the solution.
