Position Summary
The Podcast Recording Support Technician is a key contributor to the operational excellence and success of the Engagement Division's Church and Community Relations team; this role will act as the technical authority in generating micro-podcasts for our Speeding the Word radio programming heard on nearly 100 radio stations.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide the interview recording support, ensuring the audio quality of the content
- Edit podcast programs, designate the content order sequence and upload the content to the appropriate software application
- Ensure high audio quality levels in the recorded content
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot the audio equipment and devices required to record the podcast content
- Collaborate with the Director of Church and Community Relations
Position Requirements

- Embrace the vision, mission and core values of JAARS
- Degree in Engineering (Audio, Sound, Electrical, or Electronic) or a related field and/or a minimum of six months of experience in the activities identified above
- Experience with FileZilla, AmBos, and/or Buzzsprout or equivalent highly desirable
- Comfort and willingness to learn, apply, implement and/or operate new technology related to podcasting, radio broadcasting and content delivery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet on a limited supervisory basis

We do that by supporting Bible translation and language development partners globally, and by working with prayer and financial partners in the United States to help make a range of unique on-the-field solutions possible.
