Recruiting Organization: Ssamba Foundation

Tired of expensive volunteer, gap-year and culture exchange programs for college students abroad? Then Ssamba Foundation in Uganda is the answer! Ssamba Foundation offers free volunteer abroad programs for college students in Uganda. Whether your passion is sustainable community development or sports development program, Ssamba Foundation can offer you an unforgettable experience.

When you choose Ssamba Foundation’s free volunteer abroad programs for college students, you are about to discover a new culture, accomplish something unforgettable, and explore what Uganda has to offer!

College students participating in our free volunteer abroad programs will benefit from Ssamba Foundation’s extensive experience in Uganda. No particular skills are required to volunteer with us and training is given locally but if you do have particular experience in areas relevant to your program then this will enhance your contribution.

Volunteering with us could help you choose a new direction in life or develop a career path you may already be on. It might be both a personal highlight and a practical stepping stone in a gap year or, for anyone at any time, a great way to go abroad for much more than just a holiday.

Experience Ugandan lifestyle and hospitality in this opportunity for cultural exchange and a flexible program in and around the Mukono district and other parts of Uganda. You’ll be part of a continuum of volunteers contributing to the cause of Uganda people driving their communities forward in education and infrastructure.

We could not do all that we do in Uganda without the help of our interns and volunteers, who are a vital and integral part of Ssamba Foundation. Want to use your skills, drive and passion to help make life better for Uganda’s vulnerable communities? We’re looking for you!

Where will I be living?

Volunteers live in the beautiful town of Mukono in a family run homestay, just close to our projects. Volunteers will have their own bedroom and shared bathroom. Accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable.

Programs include but not limited to:

Childcare, Construction work, Environment Conservation, Teaching, Youth work, Women empowerment, Sustainable livelihoods, Healthcare work, Microfinance work, Community development, Disabled Care, Sports and Games training, Music, Dance and Drama programs.
