We are looking for experienced and creative Cheer coaches to help support the cheerleading teams of SoulPhamm. Please visit www.soulphamm.org for details on our organization.

During the pandemic last year, one of our in-person dance teams was forced to do their practice via Zoom. Although we were apprehensive at first, practices went very well and by the time we began meeting in person again, the girls were well prepared for an upcoming event that we had practiced. We only needed to do staging and some last minute touch-ups.

Now that we have added cheer, step and majorette programs, we are now piloting a one-hour virtual practice for the teams to supplement their in-person Saturday practice.

Our cheer teams serve two divisions: juniors (ages 8-12) and seniors (ages 13-18) in New York and New Jersey. We are looking for cheer coaches who can work with both divisions, teaching cheers that they can all do together.

The virtual practice will be held every bi-weekly via Zoom for one hour. Following are the slots we have available -
Wednesdays 6pm to 7pm (two slots left)
Thursdays 6pm to 7pm (two slots left)
Thursdays 7pm to 8pm (two slots left)
Fridays 6pm to 7pm (two slots left)

Also participating in the program will be two high-school aged girls from New Jersey and New York who will be tasked with learning the cheers that you teach and assisting on days when you cannot be available.

You will be preparing the girls for showcases and parades that will happen in May and June. The high school students will assist our in-person coaches with ensuring that the girls are fully prepared.

Coaching experience is not required, but you should have significant experience as a cheerleader and be able to work patiently with the team. Please tell us which schedule you would like. No phone calls please.
