Stray Hearts Animal Shelter in Taos, New Mexico is seeking to create an immediate pool of qualified potential candidates for our Board of Directors.

Ideal candidates will have all or some of the following qualifications: interest in community service, fund-raising experience, previous board experience, ethic/racial diversity, and ability to attend regular meetings virtually or in person.

The Humane Society of Taos, Inc, DBA Stray Hearts Animal Shelter, is dedicated to interim compassionate and humane care for lost and abandoned canines and felines.

Description

We need your help and support to continue to create a shelter and a Humane Society that gives every animal a chance to live.

Come be part of the shelter. Please come visit and take a tour. We think you will be surprised and delighted by what you experience.

  • Adopt
  • Foster a cat or dog
  • Host a Shelter tour for your friends
  • Volunteer at a fundraising event
  • Serve on our Board or our Advisory Board
  • Bring your knowledge and experience to our marketing & fundraising committee and be part of the team that plans our fundraising events
  • Research grants
  • Take pictures and videos of our animals at the shelter that we can use to help get them adopted
  • Please donate

We need you and the animals need you.
We need "boots on the ground" support every day to continue this good work.
It is our goal to give our community the low cost, easy access spay and neuter, medical and vet services they need.
