Camp Quality Louisiana

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

After training and a background check, during camp you will be with your assigned camper, along with other companions and campers. You will help them have fun and encourage them to participate in activities. You will also be in contact with the family before camp to learn what the child's needs are. We are following all CDC recommendations to protect all.

Mission Statement

Camp Quality serves children with cancer and their families by providing year-round programs, experiences, and companionship, at no cost. Camp Quality promotes hope and inspiration while helping children foster life skills and develop their full potential. Our goal is to allow kids with cancer to be in a non-judgement environment and be like normal kids as much as possible.

Camp Quality Louisiana serves children with cancer, either active or in remission. Because their siblings have a tough time, we also allow siblings to attend camp. We operate under a national organization to give us guidance and support. Out camp has an independent operational committee that meets year-round to plan activities, recruit and train volunteers, recruit campers and help fundraise. We are a community supported organization using grants and generous individuals to allow us to put on the camp at no cost to the campers and their families. We have several volunteers that are nurses, cooks, activity coordinators and of course, one on one companions to our campers. We even have a child life specialist to help the kids deal with problems. The kids get to swim, canoe, do archery, arts and crafts, ropes courses, team sports, horseback riding and so much more. We are going into our 33rd year of serving kids with cancer.
