Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Rebuild the Hood, Inc.! We are a 501c3 organization that is dedicated to revitalizing distressed communities via investment in small businesses and real estate. We have a volunteer opportunity for a Newsletter Editor for our organization. The following duties will need to be performed:

  1. Develop resources for editorial support;
  2. Develop resources for production support;
  3. Design and create newsletter for quarterly publishing;
  4. Coordinate with Rebuild the Hood, Inc. leadership team for feedback, suggestions, ideas, etc.;
  5. Get readership feedback on newsletter;
  6. Additional duties as needed.

Description

What was initially created as a stand-alone event in 2017, Rebuild the Hood has now morphed into a full-service organization that is dedicated to the economic growth and sustainability of distressed and impoverished neighborhoods in the Chicagoland area. Since 2020, Rebuild the Hood has accomplished the following:

  • Awarded over 75K to black owned businesses that had been affected by COVID19 and civil unrest
  • Serviced over 150+ individuals with our Financial Literacy and Real Estate programs
