Volunteer and teach STEM

STEMbassadors provide students with hands-on, authentic experiences which build scientific skills, fuel curiosity, and encourage students to develop their STEM identities.

In addition, STEP In2 STEM leverages the talents of STEMbassadors to lead sessions, help established curricula, collaborating with our partners, and catering their lesson plans to the interests of students. STEMbassadors will facilitate a STEM Project with student and by the end of the semesters they will facilitate their first Virtual STEM Fair. This Virtual Project is aimed to support outstanding STEMbassadors who share their STEM passions with SIS students.

The goal of this network is to equip (STEMbassadors) with leadership skills, career success, and develop their interests in STEM while cultivating the growth of school-age youth.

Student outcomes made possible by our STEMbassadors include:

  • Increased self-confidence in STEM competencies, skills, and abilities.
  • Increased self-confidence in critical 21st century skills, such as leadership, communication, and collaboration.
  • Increased STEM aspirations or pursuits, including careers.
