Mission and Program Description: Provide older adults and their families with education, valuable resources and quality services to help seniors preserve their independence and improve their overall well-being. Help seniors to live safely and well cared for with dignity, without consideration of social and cultural differences, and advocate for those in need.

Volunteer Role & Responsibilities: The Social Media Manager would be responsible for maintaining a steady online presence and voice for the Foundation for Senior Services on our Facebook and Instagram accounts, and would be comfortable reaching out to all levels of staff to generate content. The ideal candidate would be passionate about serving seniors and have an appreciation for the diverse communities we serve. Responsibilities include:

Using Canva to design social media posts

Creating Instagram posts

Managing our Instagram account and engaging the public by commenting on posts, responding to questions, etc.

Creating Facebook posts

Managing our Facebook account and engaging the public by commenting on posts, responding to questions, etc.

Brainstorming campaign ideas

Requirements: Passion for social media, supporting older adults, and increasing our organization's outreach. Self-starter comfortable reaching out to all levels of staff to generate content. 1-2 hours per week done remotely on an ongoing basis.
