Recruiting Organization: Her Nexx Chapter

Our nonprofit organization is in need of Grant Writer volunteers to help prepare grant proposals and assist with performing research for available grants. This individual will learn how to develop HNC proposals and become familiarized with the organization's programs, goals and financial needs. The funding development assistants/grant writers will be mentored by a professional grant writer committee team leader helping you to add skills, an extra bonus while you are volunteering. You will learn how to compile all of the information needed in order to write an effective grant, compose a professional winning proposal, learn how to project manage the process and understand the guidelines and deadlines required for corporate, state and federal grants.

Educational Requirements:

Funding Development Assistants/Grant Writers may have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or a similar major. Professional writing experience is a plus. Other requirements:

• Outstanding grammar is essential.
• Ability to conduct extensive research.
• Familiarize self with our organization's goals and needs.
• Ability to meet submission deadlines.
• Work well with a team.
