Through the Rural Capacity Building VISTA Project, CRC increases the effectiveness and sustainability of nonprofit organizations across rural Colorado. VISTA members engaged in the Project provide resources, tools, and strategies to hundreds of nonprofit professionals each year through the Rural Philanthropy Days (RPD) program, as well as CRC’s statewide education and resource opportunities. VISTA member will increase the effectiveness of organizations working to address the root causes of poverty in Colorado’s rural communities. The Statewide Programs Associate VISTA will serve across CRC’s program team to nimbly develop new and existing nonprofit education programming as we adapt our capacity building education to a virtual environment. The member will create stronger programmatic infrastructure for our rural regional leadership committees through community outreach and engagement, engaging and strengthening relationships with rural partners, identification of new funding opportunities and collection/presentation of regional data. The VISTA will utilize Salesforce and the platform Blackthorn to track program attendees and they will update CRC's event registration platform to systemize and develop templates for future trainings and events.


Member Duties : The Statewide Programs Associate VISTA will 1) serve across CRC’s program team to further the planning and development of new and existing education, resource and leadership programs. The Statewide Programs Associate VISTA will engage with CRC’s program team as we continue to adapt our capacity building education to a virtual environment. 2) Build and maintain momentum of rural regional leadership committees through community outreach and engagement and creating tools for trainings and events 3) Identify new funding opportunities and collection/presentation of regional data 4) Organize and develop strong systems for attendee and program evaluation via Salesforce and Blackthorn (CRC's event registration platform).
