Urgent: Limited Volunteers needed for COVID-19 Test Kits Preparation for the community including schools.

10 Volunteers urgently needed on weekends. 2 shifts per day Saturday and Sunday starting January 8, 2022 til TBD.

Location only in Hayward Headquarters

Your volunteer time will have a direct impact on your community during the pandemic.

Due to the spread of a contagious Omicron Variant, we will be limiting our volunteer opportunity to 6-10 volunteers a day and on weekends only. We are provided with a partner's full access to office space to make testing kits for the community.

We want to provide a safe environment. We prefer people to join in their own personal groups and we will be exercising social-distance with testing provided prior to volunteering.

Again, we must stress you must be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination with an ID on site. Parents and children in their household are prioritized and encouraged. Fully vaccinated volunteers ONLY (no exceptions) to follow safety protocols.

We will have two shifts on weekends.

Shift (1) is 10 am to 1 pm and Shift (2) 1 pm to 3 pm.

We will be making less testing kits than before due to safety protocols and to help volunteers make as much as they can to help contribute during this pandemic.

We are thankful for our partnered lab in letting us help during this pandemic and we enjoy the time volunteering as this program can stop at any time due to safety reasons, so please be mindful of this and we apologize if in a week things can change dramatically to keep our volunteers safe.

Happy 2022 New Years to everyone.

We had a great 2021 having our HelpTestBayArea volunteers contribute during this pandemic.

Some Volunteer Highlights in 2021

*We were able to keep schools safe and open in the bay area with medical and non-medical volunteers

*Our volunteers brought everyone in the community to help support schools by making COVID-19 testing kits directly to150 plus schools in the bay area. We had families, students, retirees, and many more people from all walks of life helping schools stay safe and open for their families and the community.

*With our partnered lab, we prioritized COVID-19 testing of Medical and Non-Medical Frontline workers and essential workers with no cost testing. We also helped the community with no cost testing in underserved, undocumented, and uninsured get easy access to testing to stop the spread of this virus.

*Help provide emergency volunteers for Hayward Fire Department mass testing site

* Provide medical volunteers to test for V Foundation for Cancer Research event

*Provide Volunteers for Fruitvale and East Oakland Event for testing underserved community with collaboration with UCSF Health, United in Health, and Umoja Health.

*Consistently give easy access to testing for the community including the, Frontliners, essential workers, uninsured and undocumented.

Our partnered lab is offering no cost PCR and Rapid Antigen testing to our volunteers and their friends and family. Please mention you are a volunteer for HelpTestBayArea.

Testing center is at 3566 Investment Blvd, Hayward, CA 94580. No appointment needed.

7 days a week 10 am to 5 pm including weekends.
