Hunger Intervention Program's Senior Meal program prepares lunches on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for seniors. While the majority of meals are served at the Lake City Community Center, a portion are delivered to homebound Seniors in the north Seattle area with the help of volunteer delivery drivers.

HIP is looking for BACKUP volunteer delivery drivers to deliver meals when a regular driver cannot. Backup drivers are needed for our Wednesday and Friday deliveries. In the event that our regular drivers can't make it, we'll reach out to you and ask if you're available to do the delivery. You by no means are required to take the shift, especially on short notice.

Meals are picked up from the Lake City Community Center at 11:45am and are delivered to apartments and homes across North Seattle. The route takes approximately 1.5 hours. The volunteer will be asked to use their own vehicle, but will be reimbursed for gas.

This position requires a COVID-19 vaccination and a background check. For questions, contact madeleine@hungerintervention.org.
