Hunger Intervention Program

  • 1 person is interested

Hunger Intervention Program's Senior Meals program prepares meals on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for Seniors. While the majority of meals are served at the Lake City Community Center, a portion are delivered to homebound Seniors in the north Seattle area.

HIP is looking for volunteer delivery drivers to deliver meals one day a week during the lunch hour. For this position, we're ideally looking for volunteers who can commit to a 3 hour shift every Wednesday or Friday from approximately 11:45am-2:45pm. Volunteers will have access to one of HIP's small vans to deliver the meals. Ideally, we will have consistent volunteers for this position so that they can become familiar with the route and build a relationship with meal recipients.

This position requires a COVID-19 vaccination, a background check, and a driving record check.

If you are interested, please respond with the day of the week (Wednesday or Friday) that you would be able to help. If you feel like you would be a good fit for this position but the length or frequency of the shift is an issue, please still reach out and let us know what you could accommodate.
