Join us for the First Saturday of the Month Habitat Restoration Workdays at Mt. Helix Park, a historic Nature-Park featuring the quarter mile Yawkey Trail and historic Amphitheater all set in a natural environment comprised of several acres of California native landscape atop some of the best views in all of San Diego County. Volunteers will work alongside native plant enthusiasts and experts to restore and maintain the natural portions of the Park.

Description

The Mt. Helix Park Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, was established on April 9, 1999 to maintain and manage Mt. Helix Park and Amphitheater. The governing Board of Directors, consisting of members from the community, endeavor to raise funds in order to uphold the terms of the original Yawkey Trust. Today, Mt. Helix Park is a lasting tribute to the value of friendship and community.

  • Must be at least 18
  • 2 to 3 hours as volunteer's schedule permits
  • Volunteers must be at least 18 or older to participate without a parent or guardian. Volunteers will be working in the habitat and along slopes weeding, planting, watering, trail restoration, etc.
