Are you looking to make an impact in your community? Enjoy participating in cleanups but want to do more? LA Waterkeeper is looking for individuals to help us run our cleanup program. Under the direction of the Communications and Outreach Manager, you will help set up and break down cleanup events, directing volunteers to cleanup locations, event breakdown, etc. So, join our Cleanup Crew, and learn what it takes to host a community event and partake in cleanups all around Los Angeles.

Founded in 1993, Los Angeles Waterkeeper’s mission is to protect and restore Santa Monica Bay, San Pedro Bay, and adjacent waters through enforcement, fieldwork, and community action. We work to achieve this goal through litigation and regulatory programs that ensure water quality protections in waterways throughout L.A. County. LA Waterkeeper’s Litigation & Advocacy, Marine, and Water Quality teams conduct interconnected projects that serve this mission.

  • Must be at least 18
  • Cleanups are year-round, but not on a consistent schedule. We are looking for flexibility. The cleanups themselves last about 2.5 hours.
