Do you speak Russian? Would you like to volunteer in person helping Holocaust Survivors at the JFCS office in the Outer Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco?

Volunteer to help people apply for reparation funds from the German government - it’s a special process handled by an organization called The Claims Conference. We have a Russian-speaking, long-time caseworker who helps people with this and has for decades. But - Claims Conference has a new facial recognition program that is required for many of our Holocaust survivors in order for them to get benefits. Most of our clients need help with this. You don’t have to be very computer savvy and the caseworker will train you as she has learned all the tricks (lighting, iphones work best, etc...). This would take place at our 2534 Judah Street office in the Sunset neighborhood. We need someone a minimum of once a week for a couple of hours, during business hours.
