About Us

Nothing But The Arts (NBTA) Incorporated is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the arts and media. Nothing But The Arts serves as a connection and platform based organization for teens and young adults who are interested in the arts (music, fashion, photography, painting, dancing, etc.) and media. Members will be able to connect, learn, attend events and workshops, and hear from people in their fields. This organization will also help members to become more comfortable with their craft to be able to succeed with their talent and skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support and partner with the President/CEO and committee chairs on all major fundraising initiatives
  • Collaborate with the President/CEO to develop and implement NBTA’s financial strategy
  • Actively work with the President/CEO and other committee chairs to develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy to include corporate, foundation, government grants, etc.
  • Have primary responsibility for development and execution of all proposals; write and archive all proposals with a long-term relationship-management approach
  • Oversee research funding sources and trends, with foresight, to help position NBTA nonprofit ahead of major funding changes or trends
  • Monitor all donor information; provide and present statistical analysis to board and senior leaders
  • Develop and implement a stewardship program aimed at cultivating deeper ties with donors
  • Prepares to assume the office of the President/CEO
  • Fulfills the President/CEO duties when the presiding officer is absent or if that office becomes vacant
  • Assists the President/CEO in the execution of her duties
  • Works closely with the President/CEO to transfer knowledge and history to prepare for leadership
  • Brainstorming and implementing new events
Qualifications
  • Professional experience in a nonprofit organization; demonstrated success in a development function (managing and forging relationships with multiple donor sources)
  • Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing donor relationships over time
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable style; a leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical fundraising initiatives
  • Ability to work both independently without close oversight, but also a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside of our nonprofit
  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field or track to receive this degree. (preferred but not required)
  • High energy and passion for NBTA’s mission is essential
  • Ability to construct, articulate, and implement annual strategic development plan
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Customer focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A professional and resourceful style; the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative, and to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time
Vice President Requirements
  • Interest in the arts or media.
  • 2 or more years experience in a managerial role or leadership position.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, public speaking, and leadership skills.
  • An innovative and motivational mentality.
  • Excellent management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident and goal-oriented.
  • Current working knowledge of the industry and the willingness to maintain your knowledge.

This volunteer position offers a flexible virtual schedule of 8-10 hours per week according to the volunteer schedule.
