The glamour shots for our adoptable pets do not magically appear on our website! It takes a lot of hard work by a very talented team of volunteers. Using carefully chosen backdrops, props, and animal handling techniques, our photo team goes above and beyond to make amazing images that directly result in happy endings for our animals!

Now, we are looking to expand our volunteer photography team!

Are you a photographer looking to expand your portfolio while giving back? Or are you really good at handling animals and are trying to find a way to help homeless animals in need? Here's your chance! The Roanoke Valley SPCA is searching for volunteer photographers and photography assistants to help photograph our available animals.

Historically, photography sessions have occurred on Thursday and Friday mornings (since the weekend is when most adoptions happen, so we want the adoptable cats and dogs posted by then), but we can discuss other times if needed.
