Join Smart Start Partnership for Children in our,

#MLK Day of Service Smart Start Virtual Book Drives

The New Year is a great time for cleaning out bookshelves! Join us as we go through our bookshelves for new or gently used children's books to donate to the Smart Start early literacy activities.

Early literacy can help caregivers build a strong foundation for their children. Early literacy not only equips students with school readiness skills it encourages early-relational health. If parents and children are reading together, they are spending time together which increases a child’s resiliency, by increasing positive relationships with trusted adults.

So dust off those shelves and bring us your books! Host your own personal book drive and fill a box of new or gently used children's books. You can drop them off at our offices in Hendersonville. Staff are also available to pick up boxes in the surrounding area. Call for more details.
