Role Description:
Looking for a project leader who can manage and coordinate STEM education outreach events to a wide variety of students and organizations!

As the new year begins, our LA chapter is looking to get off to a blazing start in the hopes of having its best year to date! This position will include developing content, organizing workshops/classroom events, and driving volunteer participation. If you are looking for a volunteer role that uses your creative side as well as utilizing desired workplace skills, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities:

- Lead the chapter's operations initiative for camps, workshops, junior shark tank and classroom events
- Establish a creative blueprint for the chapter's brand advertisement
- Drive fundamental planning and organization skills to put on successful youth STEM events
- Develop content for operations (presentations, media, models, etc.)
- Work closely with other directors in organization to coordinate tasks and help needed
- Utilize experience and personal connections for organization growth
- Be a self-starter
- Oversee tasks of operation team members

Info about Organization:

We started 6 years ago in Tucson, AZ. 6 exceptionally talented and motivated people who wanted to give back to the community by helping k-12 students find a passion for STEM. We saw all of the poverty in our city and realized if just one of those kids from that community was able to get a great paying job in STEM, they could not only help themselves but also help their whole family break the cycle of poverty! Now the organization has over 50 volunteers, chapters in 3 different cities and growing! More than anything, being a part of this amazing organization has showed me that you really CAN change the world, one step at a time!
