Food Aid Project supplies US Food Banks with truckloads of food for families and individuals suffering from insecurity. We're committed to finding a volunteer who feels connected with and wants to contribute to our mission of feeding tens of millions of people every year.

We're looking for a business-minded creative thinker. Are you a mindful, focused and research oriented individual? We're inviting you to identify funding opportunities and outreach endeavors which will enhance our global effectiveness.

This is a research oriented volunteer position:

  • Finding and prioritizing Grant opportunities
  • Researching and prioritizing General Nonprofit resources
  • Identifying grant writers
  • Assist in finding donors
  • Assist in identifying and expanding our Board of Directors

Description

Food Aid Project, Inc. is a charitable purpose, nonprofit organization (501 (c)(3), whose mission is to support food and economic security by increasing the eff iciency of and access to the bulk food procurement and distribution network. In addition, Food Aid Project will provide procurement and merchandising assistance, and decision support for Farmers, Exporters, domestic food banks, international Non Governmental Organizations, as well as international government agencies. Through its mission the organization meets the IRS charitable purpose guidelines of relief of the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged, lessening the burdens of government, lessening neighborhood tensions, and combating community deterioration.
