We will focus on the removal of woody invasive species. Participants will be cutting and hauling invasive trees and shrubs. Brush pile burns may occur during these Habitat Management Mornings, so wearing old clothes that could get dirty or burnt is recommended.
Please dress for outdoor work and the weather. Wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and work gloves.
This opportunity is part of several volunteer events planned for Monday, January 16, for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. We will also offer trail cleanup during the same time and starting at the same location so please let us know which activity you prefer since both have limited spaces available.
