Let's plant trees together in Oregon City!

Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. T

How do I register? Fill out this short registration form. Individuals and groups welcome! Please note that we need to split larger groups up into 3-5 people per planting crew.

Have a pickup truck? We need your help getting these young trees to their planting sites a few blocks away from the central staging site. Please sign up at www.friendsoftr ees.org/truck if you're able to help us out in this key role.

Under age 18? We request that youth 15 and under volunteer with a parent/guardian . Youth 16 and older can volunteer on their own and will need to hand us a youth waiver form signed by their parent/guardian .

Private transportation: You will travel from the meeting location to several planting sites in the nearby neighborhood (up to several miles). We highly recommend private transportation (bike or vehicle), and will be unlikely able to provide carpooling options. If this is a barrier to your participation, please let us know.

What about Covid-19? The safety of volunteers and staff is our number one priority at Friends of Trees. We are requiring that all people at our events are fully-vaccinate d (with the exception of those who are ineligible, such as children younger than 5, anyone severely immunocompromis ed, etc), bring and wear a face mask through the event introductions, respect 6' or more of distance from others not in their own household, bring your own water bottle and any other snacks or beverages you will need, and cancel if anyone in your household feels unwell within two weeks of this event. Where will these trees be planted? In the following South Oregon City neighborhoods: Gaffney Lane, Hazel Grove - Westling Farm, Hillendale, and Tower Vista.

Friends of Trees is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to bring people together to plant and care for city trees and green spaces in Pacific Northwest communities.

Description

Friends of Trees is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization which organizes tree planting and care events in neighborhoods, natural areas and on school grounds in partnership with the community, government and businesses.

Since Friends of Trees was founded in 1989, our volunteers have planted more than 750,000 trees and native plants!

  • The planting starts at 9:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and guidance. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes/boots you don't mind getting dirty, and be ready to have fun!
