During the COVID-19 pandemic, communities have had to shelter in place in order to protect their own well-being. EBALDC's work to ensure that all individuals in the East Bay live in healthy, vibrant, and safe neighborhoods has never been more critical. Volunteers help EBALDC advance this mission by making sure that residents of affordable housing across Oakland and the East Bay receive necessary food and stay safe in these times of uncertainty.

EBALDC's 2022 spring food distribution in Chinatown Oakland will tentatively occur every second & fourth Wednesday from 10am-1pm. Volunteers will meet at EBALDC's site (the parking lot across from 285 12th Street), unload, sort, transport, and pack grocery bags of food. Volunteers will then deliver bags door-to-door at various EBALDC Chinatown properties. Confirmed dates thus far are:

- Wednesday, February 9th | 10am-1pm
-Wednesday, February 23rd | 10am-1pm

Future opportunities may be available; if you are interested in volunteering with EBALDC's food distribution services, please email volunteer@ebaldc.org
