ORGANIZATION: Michele's Rescue

We are looking for a Volunteer that would be willing and able to assist in helping to keep us organized. Our organization is 100% volunteer and foster based. We are looking for someone who would be able to process foster applications with interviews and onboarding. Once new fosters are processed we need someone to help us maintain this list of fosters and who has what animal by entering the information into a database. Additional needs and would be helping us run our Facebook Private group through tagging fosters when there are upcoming needs as well as reminding fosters of their required posting guidelines. This would be done through an online portal.

Candidate must must be organized and have frequent availability throughout the day if only for a few minutes each time.

Task would include:

  • Email monitoring
  • Interviewing approved Fosters and providing onboarding education
  • Keep up-to-date records of who is available and who has what animals
  • Handbook review and constant adherence
Programs used are all cloud based and are:
  • Google Suite; gmail, drive, AirTable, Facebook

Anyone interested will be required to provide a resume documenting ability and experience with performing basic computer skills, typing, problem solving & strong written and verbal communication skills. Daily availability is preferred as some items do have time sensitivity.

Michele’s Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit companion animal rescue located in Grand Rapids, Michigan which was started in 1997. We are a no kill rescue that takes in and adopts out animals from all over the country. Most of the animals we take in are in line to be "put-down" and need rescues like ours to find them a happy and loving home.

Description

Michele's Rescue specializes in Companion Animals. Mostly cats and dogs. We also have spaces inside the Cattery of PetSmart (Kentwood) through a Partnership with PetSmart Charities and we populate the Cat Room for the Happy Cat Cafe in Downtown Grand Rapids.
