The 18th Annual ScopeItOut 5K RunWalk for colorectal cancer awareness will be celebrated on Sunday, March 26, 2023. The race starts and ends at Freedom Plaza, taking runners and walkers up Pennsylvania Avenue to the US Capitol, bringing the ScopeItOut message to the doorstep of our nation's decision makers. ScopeItOut empowers those affected by colorectal cancer, remembers those we have lost, and spreads the message that a colorectal cancer screening can save your life.

Volunteers are needed to staff registration, check-in, set-up, clean-up, food and beverage hand out, t-shirt hand out, bag-check, and more. Many hands make light work!

Colorectal cancer is a potentially fatal disease that is mostly preventable. The Colorectal Cancer Alliance raises awareness of preventive measures; provides support for patients, caregivers, and survivors; and inspires the efforts that fund critical research--all to end colorectal cancer in our lifetime. We continue to have aggressive, and important, goals. To date, more than 800,000 people have turned to the Alliance. Won’t you join us?

Description

We serve as allies to everyone touched by the disease, with a national network of survivors and advocates at the ready to help others navigate their cancer journey. Having walked in your shoes, our helpline staff can share experiences and identify the right resources for wherever you are on that journey.
